Yoga Instructor

Part Time, Hourly
2-3 Hours/Week
Partial Y Membership Benefits Included

We are looking for a friendly and knowledgeable yoga instructor who will lead our evening Tuesday and Thursday class (6:30-7:15PM).  Preferred candidates will be a certified yoga instructor, have a strong interest in wellness, and have the ability to build relationships.

Swim Lesson Instructor

Part Time, Hourly
5-20 Hours/Week
Tuesday and Thursday Evenings Available
Partial Y Membership Benefits Included

Key Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Have the ability to work with peers, engage with all ages of children, and coordinate communication between participants and parents
Be highly motivated to provide quality aquatic experiences
Make decisions and judgements
Work effectively under stress

The Swim Instructor provides water safety and swim lesson instruction that help participants strengthen swimming skills, increase water safety knowledge, and grow in spirit, mind and body.

Lifeguard


Part Time, Hourly
10-30 Hours/Week
Days, Evenings and Weekends Available
Partial Y Membership Benefits Included

Key Qualifications
Minimum age of 16
Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid Certification
Current YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding and obtain YMCA Lifeguarding Certification within 60 days of hire
Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness
Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards

Physical Demands
Ability to pass lifeguard water test
Must be able to remain alert
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
Adequate ability to hear noises and distinguish distress signals
Ability to continuously scan all areas of the pool with clear vision
Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks necessary for a water rescue
Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations

Substitute SilverSneakers Instructor

Part Time, Hourly
Variable Hours/Week

We are seeking someone who can fill in for SilverSneakers Classic  and Yoga instructors who teach Mondays-Thursdays 10am-11am.  Preferred  candidates will have experience working with older adults, a strong  interest in wellness, and the ability to build relationships.

Training will be provided if not already a certified SilverSneakers instructor.
