Transit Administrative Assistant/Backup Dispatcher

Part Time, Hourly
15-20 Hours/Week

Individual is primarily responsible for answering phones and scheduling rides, but also needs to complete some data input and assist the Transit Director and Manager as needed. This individual will also be trained as a backup dispatcher who coordinates and communicates with drivers via phone and a two-way radio and answers phone calls from the community in order to coordinate pick ups and to schedule future rides. The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to multitask in a fast paced environment, and be proficient with computer programs such as Excel, Word and Google Docs.   

Shifts Monday through Friday 12:00PM to 3:00PM are available but occasionally, longer hours (till 4:30) are needed.

Transit Driver

We  are looking for part time drivers with a heart for helping others!  The  job entails assisting riders into and out of vehicles, pushing  wheelchairs on and off of vehicles, and loading groceries.  Drivers are  also required to keep vehicles clean and sanitized as well as to perform  pre and post trip vehicle inspections.

Wellness Assistant

Part Time, Hourly
7-10 Hours/Week

We are looking for friendly, hardworking individuals who want to work in our wellness center;  duties include assisting members, cleaning, and laundry.  High  standards for safety and cleanliness and the ability to work with all  ages are required, but a background in health and wellness is helpful.

Shifts Monday through Friday from 3:30PM to 7:00PM are currently available; however, a flexible schedule is required.

Substitute SilverSneakers Instructor

Part Time, Hourly
Variable Hours/Week

We are seeking someone who can fill in for SilverSneakers Classic  and Yoga instructors who teach Mondays-Thursdays 10am-11am.  Preferred  candidates will have experience working with older adults, a strong  interest in wellness, and the ability to build relationships.

Training will be provided if not already a certified SilverSneakers instructor.

Lifeguard

Part Time, Hourly
20 Hours/Week
Evenings and weekends available

Key Qualifications
Minimum age of 16
Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid Certification
Current YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding and obtain YMCA Lifeguarding Certification within 60 days of hire
Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness
Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards

Physical Demands
Ability to pass lifeguard water test
Must be able to remain alert
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
Adequate ability to hear noises and distinguish distress signals
Ability to continuously scan all areas of the pool with clear vision
Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks necessary for a water rescue
Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting voice across distance in normal and loud situations

Swim Lesson Instructor

Part Time, Hourly
5-12 Hours/Week
Tuesday and Thursday evenings available

Key Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Have the ability to work with peers, engage with all ages of children, and coordinate communication between participants and parents
Be highly motivated to provide quality aquatic experiences
Make decisions and judgements
Work effectively under stress

The Swim Instructor provides water safety and swim lesson instruction that help participants strengthen swimming skills, increase water safety knowledge, and grow in spirit, mind and body.
